Here you’ll find answers to the questions we get asked the most about the Steelhouse Festival.

When does the festival site open?

The festival site opens for camping on Friday 25th July 2025 from noon. The Festival Arena will be open for admission from 2.00pm until Midnight on Friday and 11.30am until midnight on the Saturday & Sunday – there will be no admission to the festival arena outside of these times. Food and non-alcoholic drinks are available throughout the night from campsite vendors. All vehicles and campers must exit the site by 11am on Monday 28th July 2025.

Is the car park free?

On-site car parking is charged at £15 per vehicle (in advance) for the whole weekend, conditional on the purchase of a valid day or weekend festival ticket.

Parking fee payable in advance from the website or on arrival (£20). Motorbikes must park in the designated car parks. Motorbikes and blue badge holders – park FREE OF CHARGE.

What is the alcohol policy?

You may bring a personal supply of alcohol with you into the campsites (STRICTLY NO GLASS), but you will not be able to bring it into the festival arena where there are licensed bars. This will be STRICTLY enforced and you may be searched and be asked to return the alcohol to your tent or live-in vehicle.

What is the camping policy?

The campsites are provided for FESTIVAL GOERS ONLY, a valid festival ticket is required by everyone that stays on site.
Camping is available in 5 sections: Adult only, Families, Glamping, Accessible campsite/Live-In vehicles and Campervans/Live-in vehicles. Each section will have its own dedicated area. The family section will be in a separate (quieter) area altogether.
This year we will again be providing a GLAMPING option, see our Accommodation page for details.
No sound systems or amplified music are allowed on site. People who disregard this regulation will have their equipment confiscated. This is so we can ensure that the festival does not exceed the permitted sound limits set out in our license.

Tents are not available to hire, but you can bring your own tent and camping gear.

Can I bring barbecues?

Because of the fire risk, no open fires or tinfoil barbecues are allowed on site. However, you may use camping stoves or barbecues on legs (in the campsite area only). No glass bottles are allowed on any part of the festival site, including the camping areas. You may bring a personal supply of alcohol with you into the campsites (STRICTLY NO GLASS) but you will not be able to bring it into the festival arena where there are licensed bars. This will be STRICTLY adhered to and you may be searched and be asked to return the alcohol to your tent.

What facilities are available?

Tents and Campervans/Live-in vehicles are not available to hire, but you can bring your own tent and camping gear. There will be toilets which will be cleaned at regular intervals, as well as hot shower facilities.  There will be (non-drinking) water supplied in containers in the campsite service area. Campers can use this to fill their own bottles. Drinking water (bottled) is available FREE OF CHARGE throughout the site. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own supply of drinking water. Please do not leave valuables in your tent or car. Keep your possessions with you.

People with disabilities interested in using facilities at the festival should contact us on access@steelhouselive.co.uk

Where can I get food?

Food is available through the day in the arena and during the night at the Service Area near the camp showers.
